Free Conferencing for Non-Profits in India

In a bid to boost charity in India, Eagle Conferencing has announced it worked together with NASSCOM Foundation and TechSoup to launch free conferencing services for all non-profit organizations in the country.

With free conferencing services, it is possible for non-profits to continue to efficiently communicate and address citizen welfare issues without having to worry about additional funds or sources to support their telecommunications needs.

The free conferencing services will provide non-profits with services by routing calls through a technology assistance program from NASCCOM Foundation and TechSoup, a non-profit technology assistance provider.

The global TechSoup donation program is "aimed at building NGO capacity worldwide."

The NASSCOM Foundation (NF) works to provide the underserved with information and communication technologies to improve their lives. They are the principal TechSoup partner in India and as per this latest partnership, will help to build communications capacities for non-profits.

Kent Charugundla, founder and CEO of EagleNet Group, said, “Eagle Conferencing India is delighted and honored to be a partner of NASSCOM Foundations’ social program and to be its corporate donor in India. We, as NRI, have an obligation to serve Indian society and set-up a shining example of being a solid corporate citizen. We are very privileged with this prestigious relationship considering the short period that our service has been active in India, and it clearly demonstrates the value creation of our innovative Conference Call services to both corporate as well as NGOs”.

Eagle Conferencing is a facility-based teleconferencing service provider that specializes in conferencing, IVR and voicemail services with an annual capacity of over ten billion minutes.

Mike Yeaton, Global Director - TechSoup, also said, “TechSoup is very excited to be partnering with NASSCOM Foundation and Eagle Conferencing to deliver this flagship conferencing service in India. India is extremely important technology market, and we are energized with this innovative program. With this audio conferencing we will deliver innovative ways to reach non-profit communities to connect globally”.

Eagle Conferencing is certainly not a newcomer to offering free conferencing services. Back in February, they announced a free conference call trial in India for all new customers, regardless of how many minutes they used. And in late July, the company announced that it would offer free conferencing services to victims of synchronized bombings that struck India.
