Respected Sir/madam,

We at S.V.T. College of Home Science are hosting an International Conference “MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO HEALTHY & PARTICIPATORY AGEING” from 22^nd – 24^th, January, 2009, since the dramatic demographic trend points to an increasing segment of people 65 years of age and older. Therefore, it is very important to get ready for an increasing ageing society.

The conference will be attended by the eminent dignitaries from International Federation of Ageing (IFA), UNESCA - Bangkok, University of IOWA and Geriatric Society of India (GSI). The participating and supporting organizations are International Longevity Center – India (ILC), Helpage India, Geriatric Society of India and Silver Innings.

Our Eminent Patrons for this conference are Dr. Chandra Krishnamurthy, Vice Chancellor., SNDT Women’s University, Dr. S.D. Gokhale, President, International Longevity Center , India and Dr. O.P. Sharma, General Secretary, Geriatric Society of India.
