Third Sector Partners, a leading CxO and board search firm in the Not for Profit sector has been retained by the Jaipur Rugs Foundation to recruit their CEO.
Jaipur Rugs Foundation (JRF) is a not for profit entity working for the socio-economic development of weavers. JRF was founded by Mr. N. K. Chaudhary, CMD of Jaipur Rugs Co & a veteran in carpet industry, to empower thousands of weavers in the handmade carpet industry.
Through JRF’s initiatives, thousands of weavers are receiving skill enhancement training and financial assistance for an independent and prosperous future in rug weaving. This would be directing the flow of benefits towards the artisans and eliminating the middlemen thus getting
them out of the vicious cycle of exploitation.
Jaipur Rugs Company provides the market linkage for weaver’s products by marketing them over 20 countries around the world and demonstrates a unique model of social entrepreneurship. C. K. Prahlad, world’s leading management thinker has conducted a case study on Jaipur Rugs Company. The case study has been published in his book “The Fortune At The Bottom Of The Pyramid”. Jaipur Rugs Company has recently been awarded “Star SME for Corporate Social Responsibility”.
JRF is in the process of implementing its five year plan which is dedicated to the Indian handknotted rug weaving industry with a mission to give it its rightful place in the world and to bestow the benefit and recognition to its apt owner, the Indian weaver.
To implement this ambitious plan, JRF is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to be based at its headquarters in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing a five year vision and strategies that are feasible
• Training of implementation team and community groups
• Liaisoning with the government and foreign funding agencies
• Developing the human resources and defining the processes and structures for JRF
• Development and formulation of training modules
• Program documentation and writing proposals
Transforming the mission, vision and strategy of the company into objective of thefoundation
• Working with a participative leadership approach.
MUST HAVE
• A team player with strong program management skills. Ability to establish harmonious
and effective working relationships, both within and outside of the organization.
• Minimum 5-10 years working experience at a grass roots level
• Ability to organize and execute plans in a strategic manner
• Excellent proposal writing skills
• Strong operations management skills which will involve large scale human resources and
training of staff.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with good listening abilities
• Should have a down-to-earth personality with a humble nature
PREFERABLES:
• Good knowledge of the SHG.
• Conversant in generation of MIS
LOCATION: Jaipur.
COMPENSATION DETAILS: The compensation is commensurate with qualification and experience.
