Mumbai Police have joined hands with Google for implementing a project to educate schoolchildren on dos and don’ts on internet. Under the initiative, officers of the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell are visiting schools with a power point presentation showing children what to avoid while using the net.
The initiative follows several incidents of misuse including posting of obscene content on websites by children, the accidental death of a child from an elite school while he tried a choking game described on a website, and the kidnapping and murder of a 16-year-old contacted by the abductors through a social networking site.
Forget yourself for others, and others will never forget you.
